Dear Family and Friends,

It is difficult for us to find the words to express just how grateful we are to you for being a part of this major milestone in our lives.  Your presence meant so much to both of us.  Jim remembers particularly what it was like to walk up those stairs while people chanted his name and how everyone joked with him and was so kind to him while he waited for Meg to arrive.  And for Meg, the expressions on the faces of her friends and family around her allowed her to experience the proposal through more than just herself, magnifying its meaning for her.  We were both touched to the core by your show of love.  The night couldn’t have been more perfect.  Thank you.

We’d like to extend special thanks to those people who worked behind the scenes to help organize this huge event.  To Jess and Mal, thank you thank you thank you for all the work you did over those several months.  You are incredible!  We love you both.  To Rob and Chris, thank you so much for recording the proposal.  The video and photographs are invaluable to us.  And to Dan, thank you for hosting and building the website for us.

Lastly, Meg wishes to thank Grandma Joan for the beautiful ring.  It is a constant reminder of the special connection she feels with you.  You were always a mentor and a role model, and your passing brought a sense of grief that we wouldn’t have you with us when we moved to the next stage of our relationship.  With this act of kindness you have helped us to realize that you are always with us.  Thank you for your strength.  We love you.
